Tockr originates in Austin, the hometown of the brand’s Founder, Austin Ivey who wanted his endeavor to involve his two lifelong passions, watches and aviation.

Every single REC timepiece incorporates salvaged, recycled parts from iconic vehicles that are beyond repair. A concept we named RECOVER, RECYCLE, RECLAIM - or just REC for short. Due to the variations of patina in the recycled dials, all of our watches are visibly unique, has its own story to tell and features design references to the car from which it was partly made.

The beginnings of watchmaking in Glashütte are deeply entwined with the secluded eastern Ore Mountains: watchmakers had to make almost all their parts themselves. Some of them became independent. It was Dr. Ernst Kurtz who brought the lone wolves scattered across the Müglitz valley together under one roof in a factory at the end of the 1920s, developing modern work structures.

Montreal founder José Cermeño studied watchmaking in Switzerland at the École Technique de la Vallée de Joux.
Thanks to the acquired knowledge and experience in watchmaking, and his passion for this beautiful art, he creates his own independent brand. He wants to contribute on placing his hometown Montréal, on the world map of watchmaking references.
